Happy Birthday, Jingle Bells!

Hayden's ears don't work very well.  We all know that by now.  What we don't know is how well they *do* work.

Hayden's showing some serious interest in music.  He likes to play guitar, recorder (Dad's favorite) and he likes to sing.  On a few recent birthdays, we've phoned up some friends and asked Hayden to sing 'Happy Birthday' to them.  It's a lot of fun and Hayden really gets excited about it.

This morning, he came into our room at 7:15am singing Jingle Bells.  So what do you do when your 3-year old comes in and wakes you up that way?  You turn it around and let him do it to someone else!!

We phoned up Uncle Dave's office and left a Jingle Bell voicemail.  Uncle Dave LOVES getting to his office only to see his voicemail light going blink-blink.  He just assumed it was his nemesis, but as it turns out it was Hayden.

It put a smile on Uncle Dave's face, and made us feel good at the same time.

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Hayden's teacher Kim for really sparking this level of interest in the various holidays Hayden's been experiencing this year.  Halloween, Thanksgiving and now Christmas are MUCH more enjoyable when your child is allowed to participate in the discussion and preparation for them at school.

Where Santa comes from.

Thanks Kim...and THANKS HAYDEN!!
