A few months ago, we thought Hayden was old enough to be able to handle 'Peter Pan'. He loved it - there was no problem there, but it did introduce some new ideas in his little hyperactive brain that took us a while to adjust to.
Chief among these ideas is his newest, most favorite way of putting on clothes. In one short sequence in the movie, Captain Hook puts a shirt on with both arms up in one swift, efficient motion. Captain Hook is a pirate, and Hayden would like to be a pirate (if only it were socially acceptable).
A few days after we finished watching the movie, Hayden was getting dressed for school and we were getting ready to put on his shirt. He put a stop to the proceedings and said, "hold on, hold on...PIRATE STYLE!!"
At the time we didn't really know what he was talking about, but he said 'pirate style' is super fast, and that's what he wants. We finally figured it out, and we continue to help him be the piratey-est pirate he he can be.
Why? Because he's arrrrrrgh's. ( <-- too much? )
